Could we combine a factory OEM E30 IS lip with our famous IS splitter? Yes we can!This lip gives an OEM+ look for your E30 build without spending a fortune on OEM parts. Well, you can now complete the look without depleting your savings account by purchasing our new 1-piece E30 “IS” Style Front Lip Spoiler and splitter combo. Not to mention this now give the front of your e30 a flat surface to mount a flat splitter to.
The design was meant to be functional with a sleek, aerodynamic appearance, but more importantly a flat bottom to be able to connect a flat splitter. These front spoilers are offered in either reinforced fiberglass or carbon fiber material which allows you to be a bit rougher on your E30 when compared to the fragile and expensive OEM “IS” lip. Lips will be delivered bare (reinforced fiberglass or carbon fiber) and will not arrive primed or painted! This 1-piece lip/splitter is designed to be mounted using OEM clips, which makes installation easy and reversible Keep in mind, that with the fiberglass process, you WILL need to clean up the OEM holes in the splitter with a Dremel or drill to use the clips. You can also drill and use the existing holes in your valance. Although this is a very nice part, do not expect an OEM finish. With most body panels you buy on the market, some fit/finish work is required. If you want it to just bolt up, don’t buy it.
Instead of needing to purchase both an “IS” lip and “IS” lip splitter, our new E30 1-piece “IS” lip/splitter combines the two in a simple single-piece OEM mountable lip. Not to mention our combo lip offers that lip+splitter look at a fraction of the price. These bumpers WILL NOT have OEM fit and finish, so please DO NOT purchase one for your Concours d’Elegance show car! These are strictly for those who want to style up and get rowdy without breaking the bank.
FITMENT
Chassis: Fits late model e30s only (88+).
Mounting: There are 10 clips (BMW PN: 51711979334) that hold the IS lip on the late-model E30 front valance.
Note: These are often broken or totally missing so we advise replacing them to ensure the front lip is properly secured.
If you don’t want to touch up the mounting holes to run the factory Clips, you can drill holes and mount them to valance with hardware or zip-ties.
