Description

M50 Throttle Position Sensor Adapter for Standalone ECU – M20
OVERVIEW
Looking to turbocharge your M20 or just looking to install a standalone ECU in your E30? Then chances are, your ECU will need a variable TPS (throttle position sensor) that can read exactly what your throttle body is doing so you can fully utilize the benefits of having a programmable ECU which the stock M20 throttle position sensor cannot do. Luckily, the OEM TPS from any 24 valve powered E36 (M50/M52/S50/S52) is a potentiometer style TPS that is capable of telling your new standalone ECU exactly what percentage your throttle body is opening so you can tune the ECU far more precisely than the stock M20 TPS.
This adapter allows you to simply bolt on an E36 variable TPS (OEM Part # 13631721456) to your stock M20 throttle body with only simple wiring required. All you need to do is swap pins 1 and 2 on your oem wiring plug and you’re done!
